At Modos, our mission is to help you live a healthy life by creating technology that respects your time, attention, and well-being. We are an open-hardware and open-source company, from the prototypes we make to our tools and software. We believe technology should be a tool to serve your needs and support your humanity and overall well-being. We want to support you in having a healthier relationship with technology, allowing you to focus on what matters most.
With this mission and values in mind, we are building an ecosystem of devices to re-imagine personal computing and build a collective vision of calm, intentional, and humane technology. Our devices will be designed to complement your workflow and support you in getting into a flow state or mode. We have a few projects and prototypes that we've been working on; the Paper Laptop, Development Board, and Monitor.
Our Paper Laptop is the project that started it all. We've made progress and have made a few working prototypes. We are making a new revision and building the chassis, all in preparation for our Community Pilot Program.
Another project is our Development Board,a low-cost board intended to be used for e-ink projects, gadgets and early adopters who want to design and build e-ink applications.
Lastly, we are working on our Paper Monitor, a standalone monitor that you can use with your digital devices, more information to follow soon. In the meantime, check out a video of it below.
We are in the process of securing funding for our pilot program and building prototypes for its participants, and to bring these devices to the market, we need your support and want to hear from you. If you believe in our mission of building technology that respects your time, attention, and well-being, please fill out our community survey and apply for our community pilot program to help us make this a reality.
We need at least 50,000 people interested in purchasing our Paper Laptop, Monitor, Development board, and the future devices we have planned for the ecosystem.

After many months and late-night conversations with so many people, I'd like to thank everyone who's reached out and offered your support. Thank you for sharing your stories and the impact this device would have on your life; we are humbled and grateful for this opportunity and excited about the challenges ahead.
